I brought my RS5 in for scheduled maintenance. Import sports performance put the incorrect fluid in my rear differential and it was destroyed. They lied to me about the type of fluid they put in after I noticed the rear diff was making noise. They deceived me by saying they put a “higher end” fluid in that they needed to change back to the regular so that when Audi saw it they wouldn’t void my warranty. They did not fool Audi however who instantly knew a fluid with the incorrect viscosity had been used. I was hit with a ten thousand dollar bill to replace the rear diff. My car had 40 k miles on it and had never had any issues. They were 100% found at fault for this by my insurance company and by Audi, who covered it for me. They were unresponsive to me the entire time after they realized what they had done. 2 weeks after my rear diff was replaced, I had a catastrophic engine failure. Audi and my insurance are working together as we speak taking the engine apart to discern exactly what happened. Although not officially confirmed yet, my service guy there has told me they are almost positive that this was due to import sports performance putting the incorrect oil into my rs5. Once my claim is confirmed, I am going after import sports perfomance business license. I would highly suggest to Anyone who owns a high end perfomance vehicle, not go into them. They do not know what they are doing. The bill to fix my Audi has been quoted at $52,000. The car had never been into anyone but Audi before I took it to import sports. They literally destroyed my 60 thousand dollar sports car and then tried to lie to me and dodge me. The most unethical business experience I have ever had. BEWARE.
Sorry your rear diff was making noises. Yes you were notified that we suggested to put in a higher grade fluid by Redline to see if the noise would diminish and you agreed. If there is any warranty work that needs to be done by us, let us know.
